Northwest 99th Street Water Quality Retrofit (Northwest 11th Avenue to Cougar Creek)

This project will install a large stormwater filter vault to treat runoff from approximately five acres of impervious surfaces along Northwest 99th Street, Northwest 9th Avenue, and surrounding areas. This project will also retrofit three additional existing storm drain inlets along 99th Street with media filter catch basins to treat the collected runoff before it is discharged to Cougar Creek.

About the project

tag

Northwest 99th Street is a primary roadway with over 15,000 average daily traffic volume. The collected runoff is currently discharged to Cougar Creek without any treatment. Cougar Creek has well-documented water quality degradation. The project treats stormwater runoff from over 5.5 acres of impervious surfaces along Northwest 99th Street and surrounding areas through the installation of media filter cartridges in a large storm filter vault and three storm filter catch basins.
