CPUD B687 UG Cable Repl NE 27th Ave & NE 153rd St

Starting March 17, Clark Public Utilities will conduct work within the Four Creeks Neighborhood, Mt Vista area.  The work is estimated to last 3 months. The work will consist of replacing/upgrading existing power infrastructure within the Four Creeks Neighborhood.  Restoration should take place as they move throughout the neighborhood.  Traffic impacts should be minimal.  Click here to view the traffic control plans. CRWWD / RSD 179th at 29th Ave Sanitary Sewer Projects

Base paving will occur on 3/28 & 29 to include both areas within the 179th/29th Ave and all areas of impact to the east.  Rotschy’ s road closure further to the east will remain in place until Monday morning 3/31, to assist Nutter’s prep & base paving operation.  The final paving and top lift are to be completed around Wednesday, 4/02.  

From 4/8 to 5/13, 29th Ave, north of 179th will be closed to allow Nutter and Rotschy to complete the ongoing work north of the intersection.

Northeast 159th Street, from Northeast 50th Avenue to Northeast 57th Avenue

On March 17th, a contractor will be working on NE 159th St between NE 50th Ave and NE 57th Ave.  They will be closing one lane and having flaggers control traffic.  


Northeast 119th Street and Northeast 152nd Avenue

The roadway is open to traffic. There is still work to be completed on-site. Traffic control will be present to direct travelers during any lane closures. The traveling public can expect delays due to these lane closures and construction.


Northeast 78th Street

Construction activity is suspended due to long lead items. The expected delivery of the items is the first week of January 2025.


Northeast Sunset Falls Road Pavement Preservation

Construction has been delayed until summer 2025 due to challenges in obtaining materials and the onset of cold and wet weather. 


2024 ADA Ramp Improvement project

Work locations this week: 25-36 G2, 65-68 G3, Location 8 G4, 10-14 G1, 69-71 G3, Location 6


Northwest 78th Street

Construction for this project will begin on Jan. 27. 

Temporary lane closures on Northwest 78th Street will begin in mid-March. Lane closures will be marked with traffic cones and flaggers, who will direct traffic and pedestrians. Travelers along Northwest 78th Street may experience delays of up to 20 minutes.


Northeast 99th Street

On Northeast 99th Street, the road work is physically complete and open. Intermittent work on plant establishment will continue but traffic control is not expected to be employed.


Northeast 10th Avenue (Northeast 149th Street to Northeast 154th Street)

NE 10th Avenue is open to traffic. Plant establishment work, such as weeding, irrigating and replanting, will continue sporadically around the culvert and stormwater facility until February 2025. This may require occasional single-lane closures, but the roadway will remain open to traffic.


Development Project

                LANLU Short Plat, located Northeast 65th Avenue and 119th Street – Offsite sanitary sewer being installed for Clark Regional Waste Water District to provide service to the private development.  Work is ongoing and pedestrians and vehicles should exercise caution when traveling through the area.  Delays should be anticipated.


A contractor working at NW 99th Street at NW 9th Ave

Fink Construction is working for Clark Public Utilities Water to extend larger water pipes to the west.  They are digging a trench along NW 99th Street.  At a later time, they will dig into the side streets to make additional connections.  

With this activity, the vehicle detectors were dug up before schedule.  Our staff is working to provide alternate signal timing that accounts for variable traffic volumes and the high pedestrian traffic at the signal adjacent to the high school.

County engineers will monitor the intersection's performance through the first day of school and make any adjustments needed.  


Clark Regional Wastewater District

58th Street Subdivision, located Northeast 58th Avenue and 109th Street – Offsite sanitary sewer being installed for Clark Regional Waste Water District to provide service to the private development.  Work is ongoing and pedestrians and vehicles should exercise caution when traveling through the area.  Delays should be anticipated.


Clark Public Utilities

A private contractor working for Clark Public Utilities District will have multiple lane shifts on Northwest 99th Street between NW Lakeshore Ave and NW 11th Ave. They will be installing a new water transmission main.  Drivers should expect delays and traffic revisions within the area.  This work will be completed by November 2024.


Clark Public Utilities

Starting Dec. 2nd, Clark Public Utilities has a water main replacement project. This project is located off the public right-of-way along Northeast 191st/190th Avenue, south of Northeast 139th Street. No impacts to the public right-of-way are anticipated.
