Recently, the Clark County Council approved a change to Clark County Code exempting Washington State Parks Disabled Veteran Lifetime Pass holders from paying the parking fees charged at four county-regional parks. The exemption goes into effect on July 29.

To be exempt from paying the parking fee at county parks, Washington State Parks Disabled Veteran Lifetime Pass holders are required to present the pass to park staff upon entering the park and display the pass in their parked vehicle. If the pass isn’t shown to park staff upon entering or displayed it in the parked vehicle, the visitor will be required to pay the daily parking fee.

Clark County charges vehicle parking fees ranging from $2 to $8 per day (depending on the type of vehicle) to park at four county parks: Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park, Lewisville Regional Park, Salmon Creek Regional Park/Klineline Pond and Vancouver Lake Regional Park.

Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission offers the state parks Lifetime Disabled Veteran Pass to Washington residents who are military veterans with 30% or greater service-connected disabilities.
