Rock Creek Bridge (#96) will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 28, closing Northeast 152nd Avenue to through traffic. Northeast 279th Street will also be closed to through traffic east from Northeast 182nd Avenue. The closure will allow work to strengthen the bridge and ultimately remove the existing weight restriction. The closure is scheduled to last no more than 20 working days (through Sept. 17). Exact closure start and end dates are weather dependent and subject to change.
Traffic will be directed, via signs and flaggers, onto a detour route. For the safety of drivers, passengers and workers, drivers should always follow the directions of signs and flaggers. A map of the detour route can be found on the project webpage.
The repair of Rock Creek Bridge is part of a larger project to strengthen nine bridges throughout Clark County to remove existing weight restrictions. Project details, including detour maps and closure updates, can be found at clark.wa.gov/public-works/bridge-strengthening-projects.
