Clark County Public Works, Parks and Lands division is hosting an open house about the future Minnehaha Neighborhood Park, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9. Participants can join in person or online. The park property is located on Northeast 17th Avenue, north of Northeast Minnehaha Street. 

Parks and Lands is beginning creation of a master plan for the future park and is seeking the neighborhood's input. Park master plans outline the types of features and amenities included in a park, the park's layout, and more. The open house will include light refreshments and a presentation from 6:30-7 p.m. about proposed park elements. Before and after the presentation, in person attendees are invited to view display boards showing proposed park elements, share feedback with staff and provide input about the future park. An online survey will be available on the project webpage through Aug. 30 for all residents, including those who are not able to attend the open house.

The in person open house will be in the cafeteria/commons of Minnehaha Elementary School, located at 2800 NE 54th St. Signage will direct attendees to enter through the school's north entrance. In addition to the school's ADA parking spaces, additional spaces will be reserved for attendees with mobility limitations. Handouts translated into Russian, Spanish and Chuukese will be provided. Interpretation in these and other languages, and other accommodations, can be requested by contacting the project manager, Lynde Wallick, at lynde.wallick@clark.wa.gov or 564.397.5882. 

To participate online via Webex, residents can register on the project webpage. An email reminder with the link to join the meeting will be sent to those who register. Registration is not required. 

A recording of the presentation portion of the meeting, presentation slides and handouts will be posted to the project webpage within three business days of the open house.
