Temporary traffic, turning restrictions will be in place for five days starting Monday, June 20
Vancouver, WA – A project to widen and improve a section of Northeast 94th Avenue will begin to wrap up next week with intensive construction north of Padden Parkway.
Tapani Inc., a Battle Ground contractor, will do major excavating, utility and paving work for five days, Monday through Friday. Construction will require the following traffic restrictions:
- Drivers traveling south on Northeast 94th Avenue must turn right, or west, on Padden Parkway. No left turns or southbound travel through the intersection will be allowed.
- Drivers traveling north on Northeast 94th Avenue must turn right or left on Padden Parkway. No traffic will be allowed north across Padden Parkway.
- Drivers traveling west on Padden Parkway cannot turn right on Northeast 94th Avenue.
- Drivers traveling east on Padden Parkway cannot turn left on Northeast 94th Avenue.
Residents north of Padden Parkway should plan to use other routes during the week, such as Northeast 88th Street and Northeast 72nd Avenue/Andresen Road. Another option is Northeast 87th Avenue and Northeast 119th Street, although drivers should avoid construction at Northeast 119th Street/72nd Avenue.
Intensive construction will conclude with paving a short section of Padden Parkway at Northeast 94th Avenue. All Padden Parkway traffic will go through the work zone in single eastbound and westbound lanes. Paving is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, through 6 a.m. Monday, June 27, to minimize disruption.
Construction is part of an overall project to improve Northeast 94th Avenue from immediately south of Padden Parkway north to Northeast 99th Street.
Significant rain could delay construction. Residents should watch roadside reader boards or check the project’s website, www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/ne-94th-avenue
