Three more people have tested positive for novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in Clark County. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Clark County is 16, including four deaths.

One new case is a woman in her 40s. She is recovering at home.

The second new case is a woman in her 40s. She is recovering at home.

The third new case is a man in his 40s. He is currently hospitalized.

Public Health is still investigating whether these individuals had any known contact with confirmed cases.

These latest cases bring the total number of COVID-19 cases in Clark County to 13, including four deaths.

The case is a man in his 70s. He had contact with a confirmed case in Clark County and was quarantined. He is recovering at home.

A third Clark County COVID-19 patient died late Tuesday evening.

The patient – a man in his 70s – was the first confirmed COVID-19 case in Clark County. He did not have any recent travel or known contact with a confirmed case.

He had been hospitalized at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.

“It’s a tragedy that we’ve lost another member of our community to COVID-19,” said Dr. Alan Melnick, Clark County health officer and Public Health director. “We send our deepest condolences to his family.”

Two Clark County COVID-19 patients died Monday evening. These are the first deaths from COVID-19 in Clark County.

These patients were the husband and wife, both in their 80s, who were hospitalized at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center last week.

One patient was a resident at a small adult family home. All residents and staff at the adult family home are considered close contacts and have been quarantined.

Vancouver, Wash. - Clark County Public Health’s front office, which includes vital records (birth and death certificates), environmental public health (permits and plan reviews), and food worker testing will be moving to a virtual format beginning Tuesday, March 17.

The decision to close the lobby was made in consideration of the health of customers, employees and the community as novel coronavirus, COVID-19, circulates. The closure will be re-evaluated by April 13 to determine a date to re-open the lobby.

The case is a woman in her 40s. She was identified as a close contact of a confirmed case in Oregon. She is quarantined at home, and household members are being quarantined for 14 days.

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County Public Health was notified this morning of two confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The new cases are a married couple – a man and a woman both in her 80s. The couple live in separate long-term care facilities but were in close contact. Both were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center this week. They remain hospitalized.
