Vancouver, WA – A Green Neighbors Recycling Day Event takes place Saturday, April 8, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Yacolt Primary School parking lot, 406 W. Yacolt Road. At the same time, Yacolt’s annual Spring Clean-Up takes place a block away at the corner of Yacolt Road and Railroad Avenue.
The free recycling event allows Clark County residents to drop off block foam, electronic equipment, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, scrap metal and no more than five tires without rims per person. Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, may be required. No business waste will be accepted.
Residents who cannot attend the event can find year-round options at www.RecyclingA-Z.com.
At the Spring Clean-Up, Yacolt residents can drop off garbage, woody debris and scrap metal. Cost is $20 per truck load, $15 for a car with a trailer and $7 per car load. Visit www.townofyacolt.com for more information. The Clean-Up is open only to Yacolt residents; proof of residency will be required. However, any Clark County resident can take scrap metal to the Clean-Up.
Household hazardous waste (HHW), such as paints, pesticides, poisons, automotive fluids and chemicals, will NOT be accepted. Dispose of HHW for free year-round at these transfer stations:
