Vancouver, WA – The Clark County Green Business program is now accepting applications for the first annual Green Business of the Year award. All businesses operating in Clark County are eligible to apply.
The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their efforts to continually reduce their environmental impact and improve their practices over time.

“The Green Business of the Year award is an effort to highlight a business that has gone above and beyond to reduce their environmental footprint,” said Don Benton, Environmental Services director.
The award will be presented during the annual Green Business Showcase. The event will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Fort Vancouver National Site’s recently renovated Artillery Barracks, 600 Hathaway Road.
Clark County’s Green Business program recognizes and celebrates achievements of businesses that embrace environmentally friendly practices. The program provides an environmental assessment, resources and assistance to businesses seeking a structured approach to implementing green initiatives and measuring results.
