Phase 4 Key Milestones

Phase 4 includes the presentation of the Comprehensive Plan and final preferred growth strategy to the Planning Commission and County Council.

This page provides a general outline of the expected process and is subject to change. Work may occur on multiple steps and phases concurrently. Find more information about each topic including full meeting materials under each meeting date in the meetings grid at the bottom of this page.

Washington Department of Commerce 60-day review submittal

All hearing documents will be sent to the Department of Commerce for review.

Planning Commission work sessions/hearings

Joint meetings with the Planning Commission and County Council may be scheduled.

County Council work sessions

This step will include review Planning Commission recommendations and/or some joint meetings with the Planning Commission and County Council may be scheduled.

Final Adoption of Plan on or before December 31, 2025

Notice of adoption will be published and the record of the adoption hearing will be submitted to the Department of Commerce.
