Phase 1 Key Milestones

Phase 1 serves as the initiation of the periodic update project, including providing decision makers and the public information about the Growth Management Act (GMA), recent state legislation related to the GMA, and an overview of the anticipated periodic update process. This phase also includes review and analysis of the current plan in relation to changes to state law, land use, and population projections for the twenty-year planning period and planning for public engagement.

Growth Management Act Periodic Update Overview presentation - 1/19/2023
This meeting provided decision makers and the public an overview of the requirements of the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA) and initial information on the county's multi-year process to update the comprehensive plan.
