At the close of the regular candidate filing period on Friday, May 21, 2021, Clark County election officials had not received candidate filings for the Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue, Commissioner, Position No. 7. Pursuant to Washington state law, an additional special three-day filing period must be held for these offices. This special 3-day filing was conducted Aug. 4-6.

Following the close of business, Tuesday, Aug. 10, a lot drawing will be conducted for the Clark-Cowlitz Fire, Commissioner, Position No. 5 position. This lot drawing will determine the order in which candidate names for this race will appear on the official general election ballot.

This public drawing will be held at 1408 Franklin St. and may be witnessed by the news media, the public and by any candidate.
