The Clark County Canvassing Board, on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, authorized mandatory manual recounts of ballots cast in Clark County for the City of Vancouver, Council, Position No. 1 race and the Hockinson School District No. 98, Director District No. 1 race at the Nov. 2, 2021 general election.

Unsealing of the boxes containing the ballots will begin at 9 am Monday, Nov. 29.  Ballots will be sorted into precincts.  The manual recount of the ballots will begin on Dec. 6 at 9 am, unless the sorting process has not been completed by Dec. 3, then the manual recount will begin the next business day after the sorting is finished.  

The manual recount will be held in the Clark County Elections Department located at 1408 Franklin St. Subject to reasonable and equitable guidelines adopted by the canvassing board, all interested persons may attend and witness the recounts. Masks are required.
