Mike McCabe, Chief Administrative Deputy

Michael is a 30-year veteran of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, he started his career with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. His past assignments include Corrections, Patrol, SWAT, Training, Recruitment, Emergency Management, CALEA Accreditation, and Internal Affairs.

Michael holds numerous policing certifications, including Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission's (CJTC) Middle Management and Executive Management academies. Michael has attended the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Leadership Institute, the National Tactical Officers Association's (NTOA) SWAT Commander I & II, and the University of Virginia’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies in Criminal Justice Education. He is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) National Academy, session 247.

While visiting the Pacific Northwest many years ago, Michael fell in love with Clark County and made it his home. He is dedicated to keeping our community safe and continues to work in partnership with our diverse community to ensure Clark County, Washington, remains a home of choice, a destination of choice, and an employer of choice for years to come.
