Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County is accepting applications to fill all five positions on the 78th Street Heritage Farm Technical Advisory Team. All positions would begin in the fall of 2022.

Team members serve two-year terms. Upon expiration of a term, a member can apply again. There is no limit on how many terms a member can serve.

The intersection of Northeast 99th Street at Northeast 94th Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 15. Drivers will need to take a detour route to allow Clark County’s contractor to construct a new roundabout. A detour route map can be found on the project website.

The closure is expected to be in place no more than 40 days. Closure start and end dates are weather dependent.

The Northeast 10th Avenue roadway between Northeast 149th Street and Northeast 154th Street in the Salmon Creek area of Clark County is now open to through traffic.

Recently, the Clark County Council approved a change to Clark County Code exempting Washington State Parks Disabled Veteran Lifetime Pass holders from paying the parking fees charged at four county-regional parks. The exemption goes into effect on July 29.

Neighbors and community members are invited to learn about proposed plans for the 179th Street corridor at an upcoming open house.

Public Works staff will host a hybrid open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11.

People can attend in person in the sixth-floor hearing room at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Vancouver, Wash. – On July 25, Confluence Tree Service will begin removing hazardous trees in Lacamas Regional Park. Work is expected to be complete by July 29.

Work areas will be identified on a map posted at the site. Trails inside the project area will be closed to the public. Park users should adhere to posted signage, remain outside of the work area, and use alternate trail routes during the scheduled closure.

Regular drivers along Northeast Munch Road from Northeast 414th Street to Northeast Cedar Creek Road will need to take an alternate route while crews work on a road safety project. Work will begin Monday, July 18.

Drivers should take an alternate route during the closure and adhere to posted detour signage while in the project area. During construction, local access will be maintained for residences and emergency vehicles.

With summer in full swing, many residents will visit Klineline Pond at Salmon Creek Regional Park to beat the heat.  However, this year Klineline Pond will not have lifeguards on duty.

Clark County is accepting applications to fill four vacancies on the seven-member Parks Advisory Board. All four terms begin immediately. Three of the terms end Dec. 31, 2024, and one ends Dec. 31, 2025.
