LEAN is required for all lots that are eligible, which are lots within a recorded subdivision or short plat that meet other LEAN eligibility requirements. LEAN is only available for new home construction permits. LEAN provides a quicker review, approval and issuance timeframe that allows you to start construction of your new home faster.

The LEAN review process is for a residential building permit for new home construction in a recorded rural or urban subdivision with approved stormwater design. The lot being served must be able to connect to public water and sewer services. To be eligible, the house must be less than 4,000 square feet of living space, up to 4,800 square feet including the garage.

Accurately prepared applications with no corrections are issued and ready for pickup within a scheduled 5-10 business day turnaround timeframe. This is also dependent on current LEAN permit demand workload.

LEAN certification is required to submit an application packet for the LEAN review process.
