MISSION STATEMENT
We are here to comprehensively reconsider the role of the prosecutor in the criminal justice system. We are creative, forward-thinking, and inclusive in our approach to justice. We are action-oriented and will turn ideas into policies.
When we do this work, we are mindful of the power we hold in the criminal justice system. Our decisions within all levels of our office have enormous impact for the accused, victims, families, and society. We recognize that it is our responsibility to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment. We will actively educate ourselves regarding systemic injustice and existing disparities. We commit to growing current inter-agency partnerships and to building strategic new ones within the community.
We understand this is a long-term commitment and evolving process that requires daily hard work. We accept this challenge. We own the responsibility to do better, always --- as people and as the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. We will ensure that the promise of equal justice under the law is zealously pursued in our community.
